2025 Reservations

We are excited to be starting the new season. The answers to the frequent questions are:

Use the reservations page on our website for the fastest and easiest way to send us a reservation request. By phone we can type your reservation request into the website on your behalf.

All requests receive an Email reply, yay or nay. We handle requests first come, first served. It may take several days before we get caught up on all the requests. Check your junk mail too. Successful requests will receive a posted confirmation as well.

We will arrange billing after we create your reservation. You will have two weeks to settle the deposit.

The best advice we have is be flexible. For your alternate selection give us the entire range of dates you have as travel options. That gives us the largest chance of finding a room for you.

We love you. It is going to be a busy week in the office here so thank you in advance for your patience. It breaks our hearts that we will be turning people away from these little beloved hotels. I wish we had room for all.

Happy Holidays

The details for the 2025 season are now in hand, what everyone wants to know is:

We begin accepting reservations on January 13, 2025, 8:00am Mountain time zone.

Sperry Chalet, open July 11 through September 12th.
Granite Park Chalet, open June 30 through September 12th.

Details of the 2025 fares are on the chalet websites. We expect to have the summer workshop schedule available shortly as well.

Closed for the season

It has been another remarkable and rich Glacier National Park summer. Every single day had an adventure in it. Remember that heat wave back in July? And we had a lot of bear sightings this year too. We are so grateful for everyone that could come and spend time with us up on the mountain this year.

Our office will be on light duty for a while as we wind down the year. If you have questions or needs you may reach us by Email, voice mail, or by chance during working hours.

If you are already thinking ahead to the 2025 season, reservations will become available in January. We will have updates around the end of the year with the particulars of opening dates, prices, and so forth.

Gunsight Pass Trail has re-opened

All routes in an out from Sperry Chalet are open. Feel free to take on 'the long route' if you have the ambition.

As we enter into September don't forget that evenings and mornings can be quite cold up at the chalets. Be prepared for all conditions as you go adventuring into the mountains.

Gunsight Pass Trail is closed

The Gunsight Pass Trail access to Sperry Chalet is closed between Sperry Campground and Gunsight Lake Campground due to bear activity. This includes Gunsight Pass, Lake Ellen Wilson and Lake Ellen Wilson campground.

We remain accessible via the Sperry Trail from Lake McDonald Lodge and the Sperry Glacier trail remains open.

Hot, Hot, Hot.

We are pleased to report that Gunsight Pass and Comeau Pass both have clear trail and are passable by ordinary people wearing ordinary boots.

We are not so pleased to report that this heat is making our fun a bit more challenging. The forecasts show hot conditions through the end of the month and into August. Carry twice as much water as you normally would, set your alarm clock to start your day at sunrise, and rest in the shade a lot if you find yourself hiking in the heat.

We should probably get ready for fire restrictions too. Lets not wait until the formal announcement to start being cautious with open flames or smoking out in the woods.
