How to Enter the 2027 Lodging Lottery

For the 2027 season, reservations for Granite Park Chalet and Sperry Chalet will open as two separate lodging lotteries. Entries will be randomly ordered, and selected applicants will receive designated booking periods. Being selected in the lottery does not guarantee a reservation.

Please read these instructions carefully before entering.

Step 1: Choose which chalet lottery to enter

Two separate lotteries will be conducted:

Only one entry per person is permitted in each chalet lottery. If duplicate entries are identified, the most recent entry will be retained and all others will be removed.

Step 2: Submit your entry form during Open Season

Each chalet lottery will accept entries from December 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026 (11:59 PM Mountain Standard Time). The Reservations page of each chalet website will be updated on December 1, 2026, with a link to submit your lodging lottery entry. Please note, you have the entire month to submit your entry and there is no advantage to submitting your entry early in the month.

You will be asked to provide:

Fee: A nonrefundable $3 application fee is required to submit an entry to each chalet lottery. Payment must be completed as part of the entry submission process.

Confirmation: After successfully submitting your entry, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt within three days. If you do not receive an acknowledgment email, check your spam or junk folder.

Step 3: Check your lottery results

After Open Season closes on December 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM (Mountain Standard Time), all valid entries will be placed in a randomized order using a computer-generated process.

Each entry will have three possible outcomes:

All applicants will be notified of their status by email no later than January 6, 2027.

Step 4: Follow the Instructions for Your Result

If Selected

Selected applicants will receive a notification email containing booking instructions, including how and when you will be able to access the chalet's online booking engine.

The planned booking period for Selected applicants is January 11-15, 2027.

Please monitor your email and follow the instructions in your notification. You are responsible for checking your email and completing the booking process within your designated opportunity window. Once granted access to complete your booking, you will not lose access if you miss your booking window. However, as the lottery progresses, lodging availability will become more limited until they are fully (or close to fully) booked for the season.

During the booking period, reservations will be made through each chalet’s online booking engine. The booking engines will display real-time availability by date and room type.

Reservation limits for both chalets

Each Selected applicant is allowed to book one reservation during the lottery process. You may select multiple rooms and nights for your group, subject to availability and the reservation limits listed above.

You must use the same name and email address provided in your lottery application when making your reservation.

Review the available dates, room selections, add-ons, and full fare breakdown before completing your reservation.

A 50% deposit will be required at the time of booking. After completing your reservation and payment, you will receive a confirmation email containing your booking and fare details.

Your reservation is not guaranteed until you have successfully completed the booking process.

Being Selected does not guarantee that lodging will be available for your preferred dates, room type, or group size.

If Waitlisted

If availability remains after January 15, 2027, Waitlisted applicants will receive an email January 17th with booking instruction. Waitlisted applicants will then follow the same reservation process as above. Booking access does not guarantee that lodging will be available for your preferred dates, room type, or group size.

The planned booking period for Waitlisted applicants is January 18-19, 2027.

If no reservations remain available after January 15, Waitlisted applicants will be notified that no further booking opportunities are available through the lottery.

If Not Selected

No further action is required for the lottery.

Check for first come, first serve reservations beginning January 20, 2027.

Lodging Lottery Rules

During the lottery booking period, access to the online booking engines will be restricted to eligible Selected and Waitlisted applicants. You must use the same name and email address provided in your lottery application when making your reservation.

Reservation limits for both chalets

Reservations made using contact information that does not match an eligible applicant will be canceled. Sharing your booking access link or attempting to make a reservation using another person's access link is prohibited.

Public Reservations Open

Beginning January 20, 2027, reservations will open to the public on a first come, first serve basis for the remainder of the season. At that time, the booking engines will be accessible through the chalet websites and reservations will be subject to availability.

Reservation limits on stay duration and party size will remain in place for all reservations.

Important Dates

December 1-31, 2026: Enter the lottery. Limit one entry per person, per chalet.
January 6, 2027: Results emailed. Selected, Waitlisted, or Not Selected.
January 11-15, 2027: Selected booking window. Complete your reservation and deposit.
January 16-19, 2027: Waitlist updates and booking if lodging availability remains.
January 20, 2027: Public reservations open to first come, first serve.
