Transportation updates and opening welcome
Granite Park Chalet is open for the season! Huge thank you to our first guests this week who braved the storm with us.
A few transportation updates:
The Highline trail has not opened for the summer yet. The trail generally opens in early to mid July (and sometimes late July). We will monitor trail status closely. Until the trail opens, guests with a shuttle reservation for Logan Pass will be dropped off at The Loop trailhead. You can find trail status here.

There can be significant congestion at the West Entrance of Glacier National Park. Please give yourself plenty of time to get inside the park to meet the shuttle or arrive at your trailhead. Wait times are difficult to predict and range from 0-1 hour+.
If you're interested in the Chalet Shuttle please make any new reservations or change requests at least 7 days before your arrival. Change requests after that are limited and no changes will be made 72 hours before a scheduled trip.

Parking Passes update
Plan on driving yourself to the trailhead? Parking passes will be emailed to you 3-4 weeks prior to your arrival. You must be paid in full to receive your pass. Please print your parking pass and place on the car dashboard, clearly visible from the outside. Parking passes for extended and overnight parking at Logan Pass are only valid for the duration of your chalet stay. Parking passes are required for Logan Pass and preferred for all other trailheads.
If you don't want to drive yourself, consider taking the Chalet Shuttle.

Shuttle update - where's the Quarter Circle lot?
Thank you for the excitement and questions around our new shuttle service. We will add details to the Chalet Shuttle page in the next week regarding the location of the West Entrance Quarter Circle lot (Google Maps info and signage coming soon)as well as how to spot our shuttle and what you can expect on your travel days.
We will also post updated FAQs regarding east side transportation options and overnight parking for chalet guests.

We are excited to announce that Belton Chalets, Inc. will be offering a shuttle service for Granite Park and Sperry Chalet guests this summer. Check out the new Chalet Shuttle page on our website for more details.

Reservations update and room size
A big thank you to everybody who's shown interest in staying with us at Granite Park and Sperry Chalet! If you have not secured a reservation please keep an eye on the "Availability" calendar of each website. If an opening is posted that you're interested in, fill out a new reservation request form. Be sure and list any "alternate dates" that work for you, whether you're open to a shorter stay, and whether you're open to a smaller or larger room (if your preferred is no longer available). The more you tell us, the better we can do to match our availability with the needs and preferences of your party. Speaking of room sizes...
We've gotten a lot of questions regarding room size and party size.
Question: If I received a 4 person room for my party of 2 people, can I bring extra people?
Answer: The ability to increase your party size after booking depends on the number of visitors at each Chalet for that day. We have a strict occupancy limit for overnight guests and you can only increase your party size after booking your stay if a chalet has availability. Increasing your party size is not guaranteed.
If you seek to increase your party size, you MUST call or email our office following your reservation booking to see if the chalet has reached its max occupancy rate on the days of your reservation. If there's room, we can increase your party size. If the occupancy limit has been reached, your original reservation cannot be increased.
This is a practical reality. Both chalets have to plan ahead for linens, food, propane, and other supplies, which must be packed up by mule trains each week. We strongly suggest you make any party size requests as early as possible, but no later than 14 days before your reservation, to help us prepare for the accurate number of guests each night.
Along those lines, friendly reminder that you must adhere to the number of people in your party as listed in your confirmation email (even if your room size is larger). Additional people not approved in your reservation party size will be turned away.

Reservation week! Reservations open February 12th
It's reservation week! Our reservation system is scheduled to open on February 12th at 8:00 am Mountain Time. Reservations are first come first serve so please familiarize yourself with the information on our website and in the FAQs. You can learn what info you'll need to have on hand to complete your Reservation Request as well as more about our amenities and offered services. Returning guests, please note some big changes this year on how room rates are calculated. All changes (new and upcoming!) are made with you in mind as we strive to provide you with an enjoyable and memorable stay at our Chalets. Questions?
